  • Grief Coaching & Education

There's no right way to do grief.

As a coach and bereaved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, grief and I are well acquainted. My brother died suddenly at age 19, then my mom died suddenly at age 55, and my dad died a couple of years ago at 72 after a long battle with multiple health issues. In an ongoing effort to do my own healing and help others as well, I earned a Grief Educator Certification with renowned expert, David Kessler. 10 minutes after I signed up for that training, I got a call that my aunt had died suddenly. True Story.

If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, the loss of a job or relationship, or a change at work or home like a kiddo moving away for the first time, my sessions are designed to meet you where you are. You'll get a little education, a lot of listening, and most importantly, space and grace to process and heal.

  • Kate is a wonderful coach who has inspired and helped me to achieve great results. She is very intuitive, caring, and knowledgeable and organized. Thanks to Kate I have been able to make leaps and bounds in my career and personal life. I would recommend her as a life coach to anyone who is ready to embrace positive change and move forward.

  • I can honestly say I have never worked with a coach like Kate. Her coaching skills are natural and intuitive. She regularly brings me to "ah ha" moments - things I know deep down are there but I am not seeing. Her coaching has helped me through many decisions in my life. The outcome? More happiness, better balance, and movement along a clear path.

  • Kate is a pure pleasure to work with. She is my mentor not only professionally but personally. Kate has been instramental in helping me remember to focus on my intentions. This has provided clarity for me in many ways. I recommend exploring what Kate can bring to your life!

  • I knew right away Kate was going to be the perfect coach for me. She helped me with personal and school related issues. She helped me with some of my fears I had pertaining to the Life Coach Program. I always felt very comfortable and safe opening up to her. I would highly recommend Kate and will continue to use her in the future when needed.

  • Kate coached me through a confidence slump in early 2023, using Dare to Lead. My husband had worked with Kate through his workplace and recommended her to me. Kate is warm, energetic, and engaged, and over a few coaching sessions really helped me bring into my work life some of the ideas from Dare to Lead. For example, I wanted to conduct a meeting on a sensitive topic and was nervous about how to do this. Kate shared the container-building exercise from Dare to Lead and we discussed how to use it to open the meeting. Through Kate’s coaching, I led the meeting with it and a) it went well, and b) I believe that this exercise really did help set the tone to have a productive discussion where there may have otherwise been a lot of defensiveness. Now I’m a believer. My confidence has grown as I continue to “show up in the arena” and Kate facilitated that through her knowledge and encouragement. I highly recommendKate to anyone who is looking to show up more confidently to difficult situations with integrity.

  • Kate helped me "get out of my own way" and dare to be the leader I already was. Among my many practice arenas, one in particular involved a situation where I had to present a plan to a large group and was nervous and emotional. I felt fragile and on the verge of tears. But then, my daring leader self spoke up and snapped me out of that downward spiral! I went through my notes from my sessions with Kate and named all the emotions manifesting in my body. Taking these steps brought me to my center of 'grounded confidence'. Others noticed that I was different. The result, I feel right where I always wanted to be. My coaching sessions with Kate were so valuable! I plan to continue to do my work and grow for a while on my own and then hire Kate to continue to level up. Kate is a #powerhouse Dare to Lead coach. Thank you Kate!

  • I worked with Kate for 18 years and I still use the coaching skills she taught me. More specifically the desire to get curious when there is conflict. As human beings we tend to get defensive when we feel unsafe so we will put up walls to protect ourselves. Kate was constantly coaching us to get curious. I have been able to use those skills to teach my teams over the years. Kate’ ability to coach through curious reflection has taught me that if you aren’t uncomfortable, you aren’t growing.

  • Kate has coached me in developing my Emotional Intelligence. She has helped me overcome fears, like going back to school, improve my awareness of the impact I have with those around me, and has helped me find ways to manage my emotions in order to have more influence and enjoy better working relationships. Without her coaching, it would have taken me a longer time to develop skills that make me a better leader, which allow me to contribute to the organization in a more meaningful way. Kate has been the catalyst for change in my personal life, too. She has helped me integrate my Spiritual beliefs with my every day life in a practical way, while staying aligned with my values. She has helped me recognize my strengths and accomplishments, which have boosted my self-confidence and self-esteem. I highly recommend Kate as a personal and/or work coach. She obviously enjoys it and is excellent at it!! As a couple of colleagues that she coaches as well said to me once: "She was born to do this!
